Bold touches of Black and White Accessories

Some people love Black and White photography. The same way, decorating home with Black and White theme is pretty trendy in the designers’ world. I just decided to use the boldness of combining Black and white colors next to each other. I changed the floor pillow of my living rooms by recovering them into Fabic with Black and White prints. Check the photo. You also can add just one or two accessories for your home and feel the power of Black and White. I have listed few inexpensive accessories in the photos below. Of Course, Floor Pillows are not available but if you are interested, please let me know.

I was impressed to see many creative ideas in those fun inexpensive pins. I did see use of different materials including steel, wood, laminated paper, resin, of course copper, aluminum, polymer clay etc. the photos are not very good but gives you glimpse of few of the pins. I did get to meet few interesting people also.

SNAG Conference- Swap and Meet

May 26, 2011 1 comment

The conference begins with the pin swap and meet event. People bring clever and inexpensive 20 to 30 or more  pins which are fabricated or made by them and also can  express them, which are meant to swap with other people. This is a way to introduce and mingle with other people.  So I decided to make pins out of  paper and foam core. These are the basic materials architects use to make models of the designed and proposed buildings. Also, I wanted to use a square and rectangles to symbolize the rigidity of the materials. The paper is printed with a motif  representing symmetrical design and almost it looks like square tile. The bright yellow color is very much symbolizes vibrancy of Indian colors.  The photos below shows two versions of the pins. I made 26 pins and hoping to swap with some interesting creative people with their pins.
